Summary/Abstract: Genocide education is intended to be a transformative experience, encouraging visitors to prevent its reoccurrence. However, it rarely focuses on ‘Never Again’ but rather emphasises memorialisation, or ‘Never Forget’. This paper explores the experiences of visitors to, and guide-educators in, two memorial museums. It considers differing pedagogical approaches and suggests ways visitors can be empowered to take a more ‘activist’ position and work towards ‘Never Again’.
