Summary/Abstract: The report examines issues related to financial stability and revenue diversification in state and municipal hospitals in Bulgaria, within the context of European policies and practices in the healthcare sector. The main sources of revenue are reviewed, and the study highlights the role of financial management and strategic planning as key factors for improving the efficiency and sustainability of public hospitals. Based on the empirical analysis, the study identifies the need to enhance transparency and consumer awareness regarding the prices and types of services provided to ensure competitiveness and fair pricing. The conclusion formulates recommendations for the implementation of European approaches to financial stability.
