Summary/Abstract: The concept of aggression is complex and multidimensional. The specialized literature emphasizes that aggression is not to be confused with attack. If aggression designates the internal predisposition to respond hostilely or to use behaviors with potential harm, attack refers to the concrete, observable act, directed towards a target. In the case of students, aggression can take the form of impulsivity, verbal hostility, intimidating behaviors, social exclusion or physical attacks. At the same time, important differences are observed depending on age, gender and socio-educational context. In this article we review some conceptual delimitations, criteria, causes of aggressive behavior in children of young school age.
