Summary/Abstract: The article provides a comprehensive overview of Polish–Italian relations in the dynastic and political spheres from the 16th to the 17th century. It examines the phenomenon of mass travels of young Polish nobility to Italy, the so-called Grand Tour, as well as the growing interest in Italian culture and customs, which were subsequently transplanted into the Polish context. The study highlights notable figures who contributed to the history of Italian rulers and those who drew inspiration from Italian culture (e.g., opera), as well as the process of assimilation of Italians who settled in Poland. It demonstrates that mutual cultural, social, political, economic, and scientific contacts significantly influenced the formation and development of various spheres in early modern Poland.
