Summary/Abstract: The paper takes into account Polish and Italian proverbs. It focuses on presenting the paremiological resources common to the Polish and Italian languages. Maxims with a similar structure and identical meaning will be presented. The observations will therefore be aimed at finding common points between Italian and Polish culture that are evident in proverbs.
