Summary/Abstract: This opinion piece aims to highlight the importance of women's political rights. Some aspects of patriarchy and female subordination continue to be reflected in the politics of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This practice needs to change, as fundamental elements of democracy promise that women must be equally able to participate in all political and decision-making processes.
