Summary/Abstract: The actions for regenerating and expanding the green-blue infrastructure (GBI) on the territory of Romania must respect the legal framework established for both green spaces and water management, which is also valid for the Râmnicu Vâlcea metropolitan area. The Râmnicu Vâlcea metropolitan area has a fairly consistent GBI, with opportunities for improvement and expansion, both through the regeneration of undeveloped land and by enhancing the existing lakes and rivers that run through the area. This paper presents how the legislative provisions on the management of green spaces are applied in the local administration of GBI, by analyzing the local registers of green spaces (RLSV) and the importance that the urban local authorities included in the metropolitan area grant to them, including by developing specific strategies or chapters dedicated to GBI in integrated urban development strategies. The material was developed within the project PN 23 35 06 01 - "Integrated urban information system for evaluating blue-green infrastructure at the level of municipalities and cities in Romania for implementation in urban development plans. Case study: Râmnicu Vâlcea Municipality", funded by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization and carried out within the ECODIGICONS Core Program.
