Summary/Abstract: Innovation is of critical importance for the development of business organizations and for maintaining a high level of competitiveness. Therefore, managers are looking for opportunities to support the innovation activity of enterprises, including the development of new products and technological solutions and their integration into business. The aim of this paper is to explore the possibilities for financing the development of innovations in enterprises with a focus on European funds. The research reveals the main priorities in European and national policies for stimulating innovations, as well as trends in the absorption of European funds by Bulgarian enterprises.
