Summary/Abstract: This study examines the development of the hospitality sector in Bulgaria before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, with a particular focus on the comparative analysis of key indicators for 2019 and 2024. The results reveal a steady trend of capacity expansion and highlight the strong role of domestic tourism as a compensating factor for the slower recovery of inbound tourist flows. The analysis of revenues, occupancy, and financial indicators shows that growth is primarily driven by price adaptation rather than more efficient use of capacity. Based on these findings, forecasts are formulated for the sector’s development up to 2030, along with strategic recommendations emphasizing digitalization, sustainability, and diversification of the tourism offer. The study aims to outline the main transformations and identify possible pathways towards a sustainable and competitive future for Bulgarian hospitality.
