Labour Productivity in the Education Sector in CEE Countries

Summary/Abstract: The article aims to analyse labour productivity dynamics in the education sector in CEE countries during the period 2010-2024. The results of the study show that labour productivity in the education sector in CEE countries lags behind both the EU-27 average and the overall economy, showing no significant growth from 2010 to 2024. CEE's lag behind the EU-27 average in terms of labour productivity in the education sector is more significant than its lag behind the labour productivity indicator for the economy as a whole. The private education sector also demonstrates labour productivity below the EU-27 average.
