Summary/Abstract: Sustainability as a model for the future development of civilization implies economic stability, social care and guaranteed personal development.. The goals of this sustainability are related to the preservation of all types of resources in the long term. But in the last fifty years, the more modern ideology of managing the global information society, the creation of the infrastructure of the digital society, have shifted the focus in another direction. In this sense, sustainability has also begun to be considered in the context of digitalization. To the extent that it leads to economic benefits, its elements - for the ecological, guaranteed urban and regional development, are redefined and focused on much greater requirements for human capital. This creates conditions for social instability.
