Summary/Abstract: The text analyzes the importance of civic education as a key factor in forming an active civic position, critical thinking and social engagement in students. Its role in building legal and political culture, knowledge of human rights and participation in democratic processes at the national and global levels is emphasized. The main goal of the report is to analyze the benefits of civic education for students in the process of forming their civic competence and social engagement. To achieve this goal, the results of a quantitative study “Civic Education – Benefits for Students”, conducted by the author among students in grades 11 – 12, were used.
