Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of an empirical study focusing on the attitudes of taekwondo athletes towards the use of psychoactive substances and the perceived role of sport as a preventive social environment. The research is based on an anonymous questionnaire conducted among young athletes during the 12th edition of the international tournament Ramus Cup Sofia. The analysis reveals predominantly negative attitudes towards substance use and a clear awareness of its negative impact on sports performance. The findings support the understanding of sport, and martial arts in particular, as a meaningful social factor with preventive potential regarding risky behaviours among young people.
