Summary/Abstract: After the one-sided denunciation of the existent Concordat between the Holy See and the Romanian Government, through the Great National Assembly Decree 151 from 1948, the authorities unfolded a path towards a new juristic disposition establishment and the institutional framework in cult bailiwick restoration. This abusive stance lead to acquiring other measures that imply changes in the current law, consecrating laity influence on the Catholic Chuch structure within the country. Following a series of juristic norms taken by the regime, which are meant to legitimite the restriction that cult activities deploy, onJuly 29th 1949, the resort ministry had submitted a decree to the Great National Assembly through its titular Stanciu Stoian, in order to repeal religious organizations. As stipulated in the official document, numbered 810 from August 1st the same year, confessional schooling was abolished and passed over in the government prerogatives. Based on the same decree,„education competences, health and public assistance, according to legislation in force, are conceded fully and exclusively to the authorities”.
