Summary/Abstract: The current research is centered on the Igriș abbey establishment process, based on information supplied mainly by references within documents, as well on the component part of this institution involved in the French-Hungarian missionary policy aimed at the Magyar kingdom outskirts, during the XII-XIII centuries. It broadly features aspects regarding the existence of this establishment, the abbatial seal use during the short period of time in which the convent operated as an affirmation settlement and also suggests new enquiries about their library and the tomb of king Andrew II.
