Summary/Abstract: The ecclesiastical periodical “Mitropolia Moldovei și Sucevei”, now known as the journal “Teologie și Viață”, a name given by His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel in 1990, represents one of the few periodicals, in general, and Orthodox theological ones, in particular, that has maintained its editorial continuity from the moment of its inception in 1924 until today. The significance of this periodical, which over time has changed its format and the way it approaches issues depending on the historical period and context of its emergence – the royalist, communist, and post-December eras – lies not only in its continuity over time but also in the fact that it represents the “house publication” of the Metropolis of Moldova and Bukovina. The periodical is an instrument of expression and testimony of the Orthodox faith, adapted to the needs and vicissitudes of the period in which it appeared, and last but not least, it has served as a launch platform for Orthodox theologians and future professors at theology faculties both in the country and abroad.
