Summary/Abstract: The concept of nation has been part of the life of the Church since the time of the Holy Apostles, a period in which we encounter the first Christian communities that identify with faith in Christ among the nations. This type of awareness of belonging to a nation through faith begins with the first Christian community in Jerusalem and will be perpetuated in all nations through the Church of Christ. In fact, we are referring to a way of life that those who follow Christ freely choose. Therefore, the concept of nationalism, in the Church, does not refer only to a people that identifies itself through its ethnic, linguistic, political, sociological and specific particularities, but to the way in which a nation chose and decided to serve Christ. In this study, we try to describe briefly how this process unfolded over time.
