Summary/Abstract: The principle of good faith, as a fundamental principle in civil law, must be respected when negotiating, concluding and performing contracts, and it is regulated by the Civil Code. The article makes some connections between the principle of good faith in contracts and the principle of good faith that must be respected for the processing of personal data, according to the GDPR. Although the principle of good faith is not expressly stated in the GDPR, it results from compliance with the other principles related to data processing expressly stated in Article 5 GDPR
