Summary/Abstract: In 2024, Bulgaria voted for the fifth time (after 2007, 2009, 2014, and 2019) in the European Parliament elections for 17 Bulgarian MEPs with a mandate until 2029. Within the framework of the international research project “Platform Europe” of the University of Roma Tre–Italy, specialized monitoring of the election campaign was carried out in all member states of the European Union. An online European Election Observation Center has been created back in 2019 at this university, which operates in the network of the 27 national research units formed. Its main goal was to collect and analyze election materials (posters, TV commercials, videos on the official Facebook profiles of political parties) from all member states of the European Union during the European Parliament campaign. The Bulgarian team was led by Prof. Dr. Lilia Raycheva and included Dr. Lora Metanova, Dr. Neli Velinova, and Dr. Mariyan Tomov – all graduates of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The results of the parallel study of the election campaigns of all European Union member states will be presented in a joint report intended for the European Parliament.
