Summary/Abstract: The Orthodox Church attaches great importance to human senses which should be engaged by the Divine Service. The present paper is meant to examine the influence that the Holy Liturgy exerts on believers in an educational way through their senses. The first chapter points out to the impact on the senses of the body, which are namely: sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. The second chapter presents the opinions of some Holy Fathers about the five senses of the soul and what influence the Holy Liturgy exerts on them. Through Eucharistic Thanksgiving, Christians can achieve union in which their bodies and souls interact, that is, the five senses of the body interact with the five senses of the soul, acting like a ten-stringed psalter praising the Lord (Psalm 143).
