Summary/Abstract: The subject related to the phenomenon of the musical interpretative act has been approached, over time, by numerous musicians (performers, composers, musicologists, conductors and pedagogues), each trying to capture the essence of this ephemeral art, but essential for musical life. The art of musical interpretation is an extremely complex process, in which numerous interdependent dimensions converge. It is often analyzed from two fundamental perspectives: an objective one, which refers to the technical aspects, the accuracy of the execution and the fidelity to the musical text, and a subjective one, which involves the emotional side, the expressiveness and the artistic imagination of the performer. These two dimensions cannot be dissociated, but must be constantly harmonized. A technically perfect execution, but lacking expressiveness, remains sterile, just as an emotionally charged interpretation, but not supported by a solid technical mastery, risks becoming incoherent or even superficial.
