Summary/Abstract: The present paper explores the theme of religious education at the crossroads between tradition and modernity, a subject of increasing relevance in today’s globalized and pluralistic societies. While religious education has historically provided a framework for moral formation, cultural identity, and spiritual growth, contemporary contexts challenge its methods, content, and objectives. The paper examines the tension between the preservation of traditional values and the adaptation to modern pedagogical paradigms, with a focus on theoretical dilemmas and contemporary perspectives. Through a critical review of relevant literature, the study analyzes how Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant traditions respond to secularization, intercultural dialogue, and the digital transformation of education. The findings suggest that religious education must maintain fidelity to its theological foundations while engaging with current socio-cultural realities, thereby offering a renewed vision that bridges faith, reason, and contemporary educational challenges.
