Summary/Abstract: Nada Marković, from the village of Repovac near Bratunac, founded the Women’s Association Maja Kravica in Kravica in 2001. She later established Bosnia and Herzegovina’s first women-led agricultural cooperative, the General Agricultural Cooperative Žena (Woman). Since then, she has been dedicated to empowering women in all aspects of their lives. The cooperative, registered as a social enterprise, brings together around 30 women cooperatives, including members of marginalized groups such as rural women, survivors of domestic violence, war victims, women with disabilities, and others.
