In today’s geopolitical landscape, states, organized crime groups, and individual hackers increasingly target the information systems of intelligence and counterintelligence agencies to steal classified information, destabilize government structures, and manipulate public opinion. This report examines the main cybersecurity threats in counterintelligence, including cyber espionage, social engineering, disinformation campaigns, and attacks on critical infrastructure. Special emphasis is placed on the role of blockchain technologies and artificial intelligence in protecting sensitive data, authenticating intelligence operations, and preventing insider attacks. The report also analyzes successful international practices, including NATO and EU initiatives in the field of cybersecurity.
