Summary/Abstract: Dictionary of technology, in its printed form (of 33 years ago), of course, exists today as well, as its digital pdf variant does. However, memories do not exist, because they never exist, they are always given, they are to be reconstructed, brought back from nowhere, like analyses are to be brought back as well. Memories are necessarily new or they do not exist. Undoubtedly, 33 years include a series of recontextualization that move the sense of what was ‘’originally’’ created in those years. There is a saying ‘’History is written by the victors’’. It was written 33 years ago against Dictionary of Technology by someone who considered himself a victor, and is recognized today as the defeated one. But right now, are not we all a liitle bit defeated?! That is why we need a technology of not only the victorious but also the defeated reading. I think that Dictionary of Technology from Vidici in its first sentence offers possible (if enough?) solution for this aporia: ‘’It is written for life, selfhood and will, and not for the words it contains.’’
