Summary/Abstract: Generational changes in the labour market are a key factor shaping human resources management strategies in modern enterprises. This phenomenon, resulting from demographic, technological and social differences, requires modern solutions in the face of changing needs and values of employees from different generations. In Poland, as in the rest of the world, the sechallenges are intensified by the aging of society, progressive automation and the dynamic development of digital technologies. The aim of this chapter is to analyse the impact of generational transformations on the labour market and to define strategies that support effective management of generational diversity within the workforce. The chapter focuses on examining the characteristics of four generations (Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z), their attitudes toward work, values, and expectations from employers. The research methodology involves comparative analyses incorporating demographic data, social research, and case studies. The findings highlight the importance of understanding generational differences for fostering employee engagement and minimising team conflicts. Baby Boomers value stability and loyalty, Generation X emphasises independence and clear goals, while Millennials and Generation Z prioritise flexibility, technology, and work-life balance. The chapter emphasises the importance of adapting management strategies to these diverse needs, which can enhance innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness of companies. The chapter’s originality lies in its comprehensive view of generational diversity, considering demographic challenges alongside technological and social factors. Identified strategies—such as promoting flexible work models, developing digital competencies, and creating tailored career paths—help organisations adapt to future labour market changes. The originality of the chapter lies in its comprehensive view of generational diversity, taking into account demographic challenges together with technological and social factors. The strategies identified, such as promoting flexible working models, developing digital competencies and creating tailored career paths, help organisations adapt to future changes in the labour market. The findings offer valuable insights for employers, enabling effective management in increasingly diverse work environments while strengthening organisational resilience and long-term sustainability.
