Summary/Abstract: This paper analyses the development of the hotel sector in Bulgaria during the global financial crisis (2007-2009), the post-crisis recovery and the COVID-19 pandemic (2020- 2024). The main objective is to track key phenomena and statistical indicators reflecting the state and transformation of the sector. It examines the economic and social challenges, their impact and the resilience of the sector, which despite the difficulties has demonstrated a sustained recovery and a significant role in GDP and employment.
