Summary/Abstract: The report analyzes the development of the restaurant sector in Bulgaria, examining its historical development, the impact of the global financial crisis, as well as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. An overview of the structure of the sector, the main economic indicators and the factors that determine the existing trends in its development is provided. The study is based on the hypothesis that despite the crises and the challenges they have caused, the sector demonstrates a stable capacity for adaptation and growth. Methodologically, the report uses descriptive and statistical analysis, supported by data from the National Statistical Institute and international statistical agencies.
