Summary/Abstract: There are a number of obstacles for the monetary policy of the European Central Bank as it is applicable in all member states in the Euro area, while in others the central bank is responsible for one country only. Thus, synchronization of activities for the implementation of the monetary instruments is needed. The purpose of the paper is to present the major challenges and to analyze the aims of the central bank and its monetary policy instruments.
