Summary/Abstract: The report presents the possibility of measuring the macroeconomic imbalances of the European Union countries by using the so-called integrated indicator. The relationship between the integrated indicator for measuring the macroeconomic imbalances and the economic growth of the European Union countries has been studied, using correlation and cross-correlations coefficients, through which the presence of possible lag effects has been established. For this purpose, annual data for the European Union countries for the period from 2007 to 2020, included, were used. An econometric model has been developed for the impact of macroeconomic imbalances on economic growth.
