Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article is domestic violence and the insufficiently effective activity of the police to cope with the peculiarities of the phenomenon itself or of the attitude of society towards it. The basis for the problems analysed is the work of the police against domestic violence, which should be characterized not only as a priority, but also as a problem area that needs improvement by changing attitudes and improving the training of police officers.
