Summary/Abstract: Managing the sustainability of dental services requires an agreed strategy through the implementation of management systems. The purpose of this paper is to provide a comparative analysis of the current quality management mechanisms for dental services delivered in accordance with current regulatory requirements versus those developed to the requirements of an internationally validated standard, ISO 9001:2015. The benefits of implementing QMS as a factor ensuring the quality of dental services provided and giving patients confidence of reduced health risk are highlighted.
