Summary/Abstract: While people travel with different motivations, they also evaluate how they perceive their travel behaviors and preferences. On the other hand, they pay attention to how they are perceived by their family, friends and peers. It is known that seeking prestige in tourism experience is an important motivation factor that activates people. In this study, prestige seeking behavior was examined according to the demographic characteristics of tourists. For this purpose, 442 domestic tourists aged 18 and over who visited Bodrum and Marmaris destinations in the summer season of 2021 were included in the study. In this study, in which the quantitative research method was preferred, a questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The validity of the prestige seeking behavior scale was determined by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, and its reliability was determined by the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The scale of prestige seeking behavior gathered under four factors was applied Student's T test for comparison with gender and marital status. Variance analysis was used in comparison with variables such as age, occupation, education and income status. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that the prestige seeking behavior of tourists differs at varying rates according to variables such as age, education level and income status.
