Summary/Abstract: 2019 has been a very important year for Dede Korkut Epics. Dede Korkut Epics were included in the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2019. At the World Cultural Heritage Dede Korkut International Symposium held in the same year, the existence of a third copy was announced to the scientific world by Prof. Dr. Metin Ekici. And Prof. Dr. Metin Ekici introduced Salur Kazan's Tribe to Kill the Seven-Headed Dragon as the 13th Tribe. This research is a qualitative research and was prepared using the document review method. The publications on the newly found Gumbet copy are briefly introduced. In the Gumbet copy, the characteristics of the ideal human "valiant" type handled by Dede Korkut are presented by classifying them. As a result, the relationship between "Ahi" and the concept of "Aki" is discussed through the depiction of the valiant in the epic, and its contributions to the ideal type that has been remembered for a long time and its similar aspects are given comparatively.
