Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the civil right of access to cultural heritage, using law tools known from the Act of 6 September 2001 on Access to Public Information. It characterises the main issues concerning these two legal regulations as well as the concept of public tasks. When the two legal regulations are discussed, the author compares the duties cultural institutions have as public task providers.
