Summary/Abstract: The study describes the milk production in Homoródalmás (Meresti) from a practical point of view from the beginnings till the present. This production system can be considered best-practice and the study shows us the successful story from the founding of the Dairy Cattle Breeders’ Association, continuing with the results and failures, until the successful implementation of projects and grants. The article describes not only the successes and failures, but it also shows the practical steps which can be undertaken for further realizable successes.
