Summary/Abstract: Božana Apostolova, a famous Bulgarian writer, has created a series of the literary fairy tales, Malkata Božana, and dedicated it to her granddaughter. Unlike folk tales, which are characterized by temporal and local uncertainties, these fairy tales reflect the modern-day social and cultural reality, the progress of civilisation and its negative aspects. This paper focuses on space descriptions as a component of the fictional universe, an aspect in which all five books vary significantly. For the in-depth analysis, the book was chosen in which the author uses two approaches to space description, Малката Божана в деня на боклуците (2012).
