Summary/Abstract: Prague Heritage Reservation that was inscribed on the World Heritage List run by UNESCO in 1992 has unique attractive localization and cultural-historical tourism prerequisites. High level of tourism intensity and penetration have led to overload area with mass tourism. Tourism despite many positive effects for the city is currently one of the main reason of excluding common life from centre of Prague. There has been also negative impacts on site’s Outstanding Universal Value (OUV). Quality of statistical data and research are the key to right understanding tourism impacts on the area and it is fundamental for strategic planning and town policy. Prague Heritage Reservation sustainable tourism development has to be founded on diversification and differentiation principles of tourism offer. It actually needs much efforts for cultivation tourism industry and its orientation for quality visitors.
