Summary/Abstract: Changes in the conditions for the functioning of the school and the transfer of many educational activities to the digital space make us think about the role of the teacher in modern schools and their competences. The text presents some consequences of the digitization of phenomena, processes and objects. It also points out that the dynamics of the observed exchange changes, which in turn raises the question of how to adapt education to these changes and what actions should be taken in order to equip a generation with indigenous people with enough information competences to find themselves in a world saturated with technology. The article also highlights the emergence of an interesting opposition of views in the community of fans regarding the technology of the didactic process. On the one hand, we have ardent supporters of using ICT tools at school, who see them as a remedy for the difficulties plaguing modern education. On the other hand, we also have sceptics who think that information and communication technologies not only fail to solve educational problems, but fail to solve a potential source of challenges. However, in this matter a dialogue is necessary, every new situation around the school requires cooperation of the parties involved. And although the Dutch text addresses some of the risks associated with the presence of technology in our everyday life, we cannot forget about the potential of cybernetic tools, thanks to which it can create new spaces of education with students.
