Summary/Abstract: The text discusses the subject of the reflexivity in the teaching profession. The theme stems from the belief that new educational contexts such as the technological and information revolution and globalization are fundamentally changing the role of the teacher and his/her professional competence. Volatility, fluidity, uncertainty as characteristics of modern civilization mean that the teaching profession is now perceived in a reflective and interdependent perspective. This approach is facilitated by the category of open professionalism developed in literature, in which reflexivity can be talked about as a multidimensional and open space of “becoming” a teacher, his/her education and further development.
