Summary/Abstract: The text focuses on the key challenges faced by early education teachers. Particular attention was paid to novice teachers and students – candidates for this profession. It was assumed that one of the key psychological factors in the process of effective dealing with unpredictable educational reality is their sense of self-efficacy determined, among others, by their personality. Subsequently, research results were presented, which prove that the Big Five personality traits differentiated the respondents’ (candidates for early education teachers) self-efficacy in a statistically significant way.
