Summary/Abstract: Today teaching statistics is based on the manipulation of large amounts of data from the Internet, company sources, public sources, and others. Students must learn how to extract useful information from a big data set and to make a decision. In Statistics, a hypothesis test is used to test some assumptions about an unknown population parameter based on sample data. There are many different types of hypothesis test depending on the type of data you are working with and the goal of your analysis. The aim of this paper is to illustrate how to use Excel’s Analysis ToolPak for hypothesis testing. MS Excel is widespread, user-friendly, easy to learn, and powerful. Therefore, this paper present how free Analysis ToolPak add-in works and what it can do. In one hand Analysis ToolPak is powerful, but in the other hand it has some weaknesses that we should be aware of.
