Summary/Abstract: “Gazeta Krakowska” was the main Polish newspaper of the Free City of Cracow or the Republic of Cracow (1815–1846), with two editions per week. In this paper I analyse information concerning the first two years of the Greek Revolution (e.g. Ypsilantis's campaign in Moldavia and Wallachia, Philhellenes’ activity, the Battle of Peta), especially news circulation, direct and indirect sources of information, fake news and occasional, mainly pro-Greek commentaries from the chief editor Jan Maj.
