Summary/Abstract: In this chapter, I present a therapeutic system, which is quite unique in terms of serving a prison sentence. The system, especially in the form of a therapeutic ward for convicts with non-psychotic mental disorders or mentally disabled, is the quintessence of the individualization of social rehabilitation interactions. I present a historical outline with the intention of emphasizing the effort which was put in the idea of individualising the prison sentence. I follow the diagnostic process in which the convicts participate, aimed at indicating the most optimal system of serving a sentence for them, with particular emphasis on the procedures related to the therapeutic system. I outline the formulation of an individual therapeutic program for the sentenced, which is the basis for specialist interventions conducted towards him. In conclusion, I attempt to bring the reader closer to the world that is hard to imagine, the world of life-term prisoners, for whom prison becomes home.
