Summary/Abstract: This study deals with further education of upper secondary school teachers in the CzechRepublic. The text analyzes the current state and possibilities for the development of teachingprofession including legislation and motivation tools affecting further education of teachers. Theemphasis is put on the analysis of changes in the elementary and secondary education curriculumstressing the importance of regional traditions development and shaping of the teachers’ attitudes.
