Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to show the possibilities of a didactic based on textual genres in the teaching-learning of a specialized language in university contexts. Language teaching is a challenge that requires to adapt constantly to new social needs, especially, making didactic proposals that reflect the multiple social uses of the language (Bajtín, 2005). Taking as a starting point de Pietro and Schneuwly’s (2003) proposals and socio-discursive interactionism (Bronckart, Dolz, 2007), we designed a didactic sequence focused on the production of an informative-pedagogical text. In order to put the students in front of the real and social use of the language and to make the learning more significant, we use a digital medium such as Wikipedia. Throughout the activity students must perform tasks of consultation, reading, translation and revision of the writing to get a publishable text.
