Summary/Abstract: The author addresses the issue of socio-political changes in Hong Kong which are the effect of the People’s Republic of China taking over sovereignty of the region. The author presents the process of the sinicization of Hong Kong which is progressing despite the limitations which had been placed on the central authorities in Beijing in accordance with the “one country, two systems” principle.
