Summary/Abstract: The book is based on a three-year participant observation, as well as philosophical, literary and sociological sources. The author has described the community of boxing fighters and coaches. The central category used in the analysis is “distance”: during the fight (out-fighter or in-fighter style), and also the geographical, social and intergenerational distance.
