Summary/Abstract: Ivan Đorđević (b. 1977, Belgrade) is an ethnographer and anthropologist, and a research associate at the SANU Ethnographic Institute. He received bacherlors. masters and doctoral degrees from the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade. His main areas of research interest are anthropology of sport, literary studies, and political anthropology. He has published many articles in scientific journals and the book Anthropology of science fiction (SANU Ethnographic Institute, 2009). The book An anthropologist among the football fans represents a revised and updated version of his doctoral diseertation entitled The role of football in the construction of local and global identity in contemporary Serbia, defended in 2014 at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade.
