Summary/Abstract: The monograph focuses on the issue of Integrated Thematic Instruction / Highly Effective Teaching (ITI/HET) within the context of evidence-based practice, that is, education grounded in the best available scientific evidence. The significance of the monograph can be seen on three levels. On the theoretical level, the publication provides a detailed explanation of the ITI/HET model and situates it within the broader context of educational innovation and Evidence-based practice. On the empirical level, it offers original research findings, provides the most robust scientific evidence to date on the effectiveness of ITI/HET, and presents an analysis of the Czech educational context. On the practical level, it establishes conditions for implementing this evidence into practice through the proposed implementation strategy, which may serve as an inspiration for teachers, school leaders, and education policymakers.
